Account & subscription

Register, verify email, manage settings, and control your VMGate plan and limits.

Register an account

Open the VMGate portal sign-up page and complete the registration form with your company details and email. After submission, check your inbox for a verification message before signing in.

If a verification link expires, sign in (or register again) and use Resend to receive a fresh link.

Verify your email

Email verification is required before full portal access. Click the link in the message; you are then redirected to sign in. Unverified accounts may see limited functionality or repeated prompts to verify.

Settings

Open Settings from the System group in the sidebar. Only the tenant owner sees Settings. There the owner updates the tenant profile (company and contact details), changes the owner password, and optionally enables two-factor authentication. Staff never see Settings and cannot change tenant profile, the owner password, or their own password. The tenant owner sets a staff password on System → Users (Add / Update). Email is this login’s key and cannot be changed.

Subscription and plan changes are on Manage Subscription, not on Settings. Profile and security changes apply to this portal login only — not to individual VMGateClients.

Users

Open System → Users. Only the tenant owner sees this page. The owner is not listed. Add staff with name, surname, email, and a password you type (repeat, show/hide). Email cannot be changed after Add. No invite email is sent. Cap is 20 Active users; unauthorized and deleted do not count.

Left: list and Add / Update / Delete / Unauthorize (the button label flips to Reauthorize). Delete is a soft-delete. If the person has activity-log rows or CSV export jobs, Delete is refused — Unauthorize instead. Right: two toggles per menu item (Read, Update). Turning Update on forces Read on. Turning Update off leaves Read on. Turning Read off turns Update off. Save on the right writes permissions only. Both off hides that item. Call History Read includes the CSV dialog list and download; Update is Start export and Delete job. Settings is not a permission row — only the tenant owner can open or change Settings.

Activity log

Open System → Activity log (directly under Users). The tenant sees every actor; a staff user sees only their own rows. Events: sign in, sign out, each sidebar menu visit, and Users mutations. Kept 90 days. Sign out records a server row before the browser token is cleared. There is no password form on this page.

Manage subscription

Use Manage Subscription (Finance group or the plan link in the status strip) to view your current plan, usage, add-ons, and billing history. From there you can upgrade, schedule a downgrade, add VMGateClient seat packs, or cancel paid access at period end.

Downgrades are blocked while you exceed the target plan’s network or VMGateClient limits — remove extra networks or clients first.

Plans and limits

Each plan defines:

On Manage Subscription, choose the plan or seat pack that matches voice-only vs voice+SMS. Payment options include card checkout and wire transfer where offered — follow the on-screen instructions for bank details and confirmation.

When SMS is included, the sidebar SMS group appears (chapter 07). Trial and free tiers may include SMS the same way as paid SMS-included plans.

On the free plan, self-service plan and seat changes may be locked in the portal. Contact support at info@startelinternational.com if you need a manual adjustment. Paid plans bill monthly; once live billing is active, invoice PDFs appear under Billing history on Manage Subscription.
