Resellers

Invite middlemen who bring VMGateClient capacity, bind join codes to them, and let them use their own reseller portal.

Reseller under your tenant

A reseller is not a second tenant and is not a Customer. Customers send traffic to you; resellers procure and operate VMGateClients on your networks and take a rate share you configure.

A reseller can work with more than one tenant (one login, memberships per tenant). When you sign in as the tenant, you still see the full picture for your organization — every Customer, every VMGateClient, every reseller membership on your side.

Resellers page

Open Management → Resellers. The table lists name, email, membership status (for example invited or active), VMGateClient counts, and balance for your tenant.

Invite a reseller

Click Invite (or + Invite Reseller). Enter the reseller’s email and display name. VMGateServer sends an invitation email with a link to the reseller portal.

The reseller opens the link, sets a password if needed, and accepts the membership. Until they accept, status stays invited. Your VMGate subscription stays with you — the reseller does not replace your billing with Startel.

Revoke a membership

Use Revoke on a reseller row when that middleman must leave your tenant. Revoke ends their membership on your side: their join codes for your networks are deactivated and their VMGateClients on your networks are unauthorized. They may still exist as a reseller for other tenants.

Bind join codes to a reseller

When you create a Join Code (chapter 04), you can optionally bind it to a reseller (active membership only). Phones that enroll with that code are attributed to that reseller on that network.

The Join Codes table shows the reseller name or Direct when the code is tenant-managed. Attribution is write-once at enrollment — operators cannot re-tag an enrolled client to bypass the bound code.

Reseller portal

Resellers use a separate portal (not the tenant portal). After login they can view, for each tenant they belong to: their VMGateClients, join codes, active calls, call and SMS history, rates, and balances — largely read-only. They do not manage your Customers, trunks, or subscription.

Reseller portal address: https://reseller.vmgate.cloud. The invite email also links there. Tenant admins keep using this VMGateServer portal.

Rates and payouts

Under Rate Plans, create a plan with scope Reseller, then associate it with the reseller (chapter 11). Under Finance → Billing, Owed to resellers and Record payment → Reseller payout OUT work as before (chapter 13).

Active Calls and Call History show the reseller on each session (or Direct). SMS history can show reseller attribution the same way when SMS is enabled (chapter 07).
