Credit control
Read the SIM number, the balance, and the minutes and SMS left on a slot, and take that slot out of routing when a limit is crossed.
Where to set it
Open Management → VMGateClients, choose the network in the status strip, then ⋮ → Details. On each SIM slot, open the Credit control tab. The same tab is on Networks → ⋮ → Edit defaults, for clients that join later.
You type the carrier codes. VMGate does not ship a code for you. Check now runs only the section you press. Saving a section does not run a check.
SIM number
Under SIM data, enter the code that asks the carrier for this SIM’s number, then Check now. A number that comes back is stored and locked. An empty answer does not wipe a number you already have. If the message has no number, the field shows N/A.
Balance
Under Balance, enter the code for the money left on the SIM, and up to four menu digits if the carrier asks for them. Check now stores the amount and the currency. An empty answer does not wipe the last amount.
The clock is GMT, four hours behind Armenia. Off does not run. After every answered call runs once the answered call has ended. Every N minutes uses marks from midnight GMT (5 means :00, :05, :10). Twice a day is midnight and noon GMT. Two times is two GMT hours you type. Balance and bundle each have their own clock. After Save, the tick already open runs once, then the clock continues. A tick that comes due during a call waits. A tick while the phone is offline is skipped.
Minutes and SMS
Under Bundle, enter the code that returns minutes, SMS, and the end date. Check now stores those three. Megabytes in the message are not stored as minutes. An empty answer does not wipe the last good minutes, SMS, or date. The bundle clock is separate from the balance clock and uses the same choices.
Stop after
General → Stop after (seconds) is one limit for the whole slot. If a check starts and the phone goes quiet, VMGate stops it after that many seconds and returns the slot to routing. The default is 60. The range is 15 to 180. It covers the number, the balance, and the bundle, because the slot runs one check at a time.
Limits
The last section is Notification And Balance Based Automatic Routing Exclusion. It has Save only. Each reading has two switches, each with its own number:
- Notify — a line on this page and an email when the reading goes under the number.
- Remove — the slot leaves routing, and you get the same kind of notice. Money remove takes voice and SMS out. Minutes remove takes voice out. SMS remove takes SMS out. The SMS pair is shown only when the SMS module is on.
A money limit includes a currency, chosen from the full list (for example AMD Armenian Dram). It applies only when that code is the currency of the balance reading. A different currency does not notify and does not remove for money.
If the date under Until has already passed, voice leaves routing even when the minutes are still above their limit. “Valid until” a date includes that GMT date. The next GMT date is past.
No reading, a zero, or an empty result does not take the slot out. The lines under the section title are what is true now: red when voice or SMS has left routing, green when it is back. An email is sent once, when the line first appears. Saving again while it stays true does not send another. When a limit change or a new reading puts the slot back in routing, you get one email and a green line.
Reset credit puts the slot back in routing. It does not clear the settings, the readings, or the history.
Balances page
Open Statistics → Balances. The page uses the network in the status strip. Each row is one slot: VMGateClient, slot, number, balance, and bundle (minutes, SMS, and the end date). Show Unauthorized VMGateClients is off, so only authorized clients are listed. Turn it on to include the unauthorized ones. The same toggle is on Usage and ACD/ASR.
History
On a slot card, and on each row of the Balances page, open ⋮ → History. That page lists this slot’s balance readings and bundle readings, newest first. The time is shown in your display clock. The stored time is GMT.
Network defaults
On Edit defaults, each slot has a Credit control tab with the codes, the clocks, the stop-after limit, and the notify and remove limits. It does not have the SIM number, Check now, or Reset credit. Save it before new clients join. A VMGateClient that joins after the save inherits those values. A client already on the network is not changed.
